#Some interesting facts about MJ

No idea why i am writing this now.Thriller, Smooth criminal and Black or white, they just ramp me up every time i catch them on TV. I am a big fan of MJ.  Just learnt that his death bed was put up for sale few weeks back!!.</disrespectful> .Yes an announcement was made earlier that several items from the LA home where MJ fell fatally sick will be auctioned off. </ but dude not his death bed. Its deserves to be in a museum>
Here are some cool things from his life that i found on the internet.

It was rumored that MJ used to sleep in a specially designed oxygen bed for beauty purposes and to live longer. Some say he later donated the bed to a Californian medical center.
In an interview with Oprah, MJ denied sleeping in this bed; according to him, he donated a million dollars to a foundation who bought the bed. He then saw that strange piece of technology, tried it on, somebody took a picture and that is how the rumor started.

Michael Jackson invented and patented special boots that allowed the wearer to lean so far forward that it seems to defy gravity. He used these for the famous "lean" in "Smooth Criminal"

Bubbles is a chimpanzee, known for being the one-time pet of MJ. He adopted the young primate from a Texas research facility in the early 1980s. The singer's attachment to the animal led to media mockery and, among other factors, to a public perception of Jackson as an eccentric. During the Bad World Tour, for example, Jackson took Bubbles along to Japan, where he surprised people by taking the animal to tea with a Japanese mayor. Bubbles was initially kept at the Jackson family's Encino, Los Angeles, California, home, but was moved to Jackson's Neverland Ranch in 1988. There, he slept in a crib in Jackson's bedroom, used the singer's toilet, and ate candy in the Neverland movie theater. It was revealed in 2003 that Bubbles had matured into an aggressive adult chimp unsuitable as a companion animal and was sent to a California animal sanctuary where he attempted suicide. When the sanctuary closed in 2004, Bubbles was moved to the Center for Great Apes in Wauchula, Florida, where he has been kept for several years.

Back when Jackson was merely a semi-eccentric star, Sega created a video game propert for him, named Michael Jackson's Moonwalker. Moonwalker was notable for being an early example of real-life celebrities appearing in video games, and for using digitized versions of some of Jackson's songs. The game is also unintentionally ironic because Jackson is tasked with rescuing helpless children from a crime boss named Mr. Big

Mike L. Mayfield of Citizens Against Safety Goggles created this awesome animation of Michael Jackson in Punch-Out.

Thrill the World is an annual international dance event and world record breaking attempt, in which participants simultaneously emulate the zombie dance seen in the music video of Thriller, and the title of the event is an allusion to another of Jackson's songs, Heal the World. The dancers perform in unison at locations throughout the world, and can range from pre-teens to the elderly. The idea came to fruition after a group of 62 zombies set a Guinness World Records for Largest Thriller Dance in one location, at a community hall in Canada. This was followed up by another event—Thrill Toronto. Following the two precursor dance events in 2006, Thrill the World was launched in 2007. 1,722 people in 80 cities from 17 different countries participated in the event. Donations were made during the Irvine, California dance to the American Red Cross, who used the money to aid victims of the October 2007 California wildfires. The year after, Thrill the World returned for its second event, in which 91 venues from 13 different countries participated. The event coincided with the 25th anniversary of Jackson's Thriller album.
