#Top Influencers in Social Media: Social audience measurement

An interesting read. This article in Forbes talks about top influencers in Social Media. It is amazing what people can achieve in the virtual world. If you have great ideas, all these social platforms are ready to help you out. Its easier finding similar interested people than before. I put a post long back about a service which measures your social influence. This post is about PeekAnalytics which uses different scales to measure the influence. Heres something about their social media audience metric. Quoted from Forbes.

The social media audience metric measures people by the strength of their identifiable networks. It’s all about people, who in your networks are identifiable, who in your followers is out there contributing and building their own networks?

There are different ways to assess reach and in the table you see it measured as “pull”. To quote PeekYou: Simply put, if an individual has a Pull of 10x, that means that the audience the individual in question could reach is at least ten times greater than that of the average social media user.In other words, if someone with a Pull of 10x posted a Tweet, it would receive the same audience coverage as 10 average people tweeting the same message.

Table shows the pull of some top influencers. I ve put only the pull. Original article includes more factors.
