#Global fun party: Twitter

#64.
Watching news on TV. Its been a long time. Its pretty amazing how news reaches us first through social platforms. No doubt twitter is the fastest of all. Twitter acts exactly what a news channel aims to do plus it has more. I remember when Laden was killed, the news spread fast in twitter even before The President deliverd his speech. Well actually even the operation was live tweeted.
Awakened at night, hearing the sound of a helicopter hovering overhead, Shohaib Athar tweeted about what was going on around him, without yet having any idea what it meant.By the end of the night he had inadvertently live-tweeted the military raid on the Osama bin Laden compound.Hias Tweets first expressed annoyance as he joked about using a giant flyswatter to shoo the hovering helicopter away. Later his tone became concerned as he described a huge, window-shaking bang.
Twitter has become a very impressive tool of information. Be it a natural disaster or a political happening, you find it on Twitter. People play around in Twitter. Random people from different places sometimes unite cracking jokes and trending some silly and funny topics. Recently there was this #hidavedays trending and it clearly made its point. I like his music so i became a part of it. It is clear, you get to experience a different kind of infrequent curiosity on Twitter.
People came together on November 11 2011 cracking jokes and sharing photos exactly at 11 am and 11 pm. It was a global game. Check out this amazing video below shared by Twitter. It is a visualization of all the Tweets mentioning 11:11 on 11.11.11. Each “1” is a location that moves with the conversation on Twitter. Their scale varies depending on the volume of Tweets posted from the location they represent. You can see the main wave move from right to left, and then a second one that occurred at 11 p.m. around the world.

Twitter will be rolling out some changes next week. Check out this post for more.
