#Block Ads on Facebook, Youtube, Google and the rest of the world

#2.
How many times have you been annoyed by those video ads on Youtube? Those links on Gmail? Those small banners on your Facebook? God and all those stupid banners you see when you are looking for a movie. Ads are totally irritating when they are irrelevant and at the wrong time.

There is a pretty easy way to block all of them. The Adblock Extension for chrome and firefox.

Adblock blocks HTTP requests according to their source address and can block iframes, scripts, and Flash. It also uses automatically generated user stylesheets to hide elements such as text ads on a page as they load instead of blocking them.

Obviously there people who put those ads are not going to like this. They are loosing money. There is a mistake the way these ads are being shown. They come at the wrong time and majority of them are irrelevant. I will say, you should come up with a better system for advertising. Add value to the ads so that people wont delete them. Have users in mind. Behavioural data has been commoditized, now its harnessing implicit social connections and gaining trust. This could be the new face of Advertising.
