#Why did it go Viral

Going viral means your article has been well recieved and widely shared. its the goal of every content creator to get their content go viral. It doesnt happen vety often. Is their really a logic behind this?
I have come across few videos that went viral, few articles few songs. When you look properly there is infact somethings common to all these virals. They are simple, easy to grasp, people find it related to something in their daily life. Sometimes virals have things that are very common in our life yet go unnoticed. Plus, there is always this craze to go back everyday to the post and see the number of views and comments.
it can be said that there are four types of viral content:

• Articles and Blog posts.
• Interactive contents including games, quizzes, and widgets.
• Video/ Audio including Vlogs and Podcasts.
• Infographics.

Baby laughing at ripping paper, cat reacting to your touch and amateur singer with stupid lyrics and what else.

Few months back, there was this post by some girl who wrote a very funny open letter to her boyfriend. The post was lengthy but simple. She started critizing her boyfriend for his actions and continued critizing everyone in the line till his mother.

You might want to check this out. This was trending that day. So why did i like this. Maybe coz i think the girl is smart and i know such a girl and i know someone like her boyfriend. Thats it. I shared it with a smiley.

There is this music video which went viral few weeks back. You should check this out. It is in Tamil+English but you will get it.

I remember watching this video when it had about 2000 views. Two days later it hit millions. People liked the stupidity plus there is always one girl in theneighbourhood who fits into the song. People went crazy. It became an overnight anthem. The lyrics is absolutely crap and the director never expected this response. It is interesting to know that this is not the actual music video. The actual one is yet to be out. The director came to know that the music had been leaked so they had to release this video to prevent damage.

Everybody knows Nyan cat. Well question is where is this cat going? What  a dumb question. Yes it suits the video. I like the music. I like this cat for no reason and i always come here to see the numer of views. Read more>>>>>

Charlie bit my finger. Charlie is the dude here.Hes cute, his bro is amazing and they went viral.  Maybe the cuteness of this video made it viral. I am never bored of this video.

I thought the recent condom ad campaign on Facebook would go viral  but it was clipped before it could spread. It violated many policies of FB. The video was removed by Youtube. Check out my previous post.


Ever heard the song Friday by rebecca Black. It was horrible and it went viral. Well looking at the lyrics, the video didnt deserve the attention it got. There are many more talented artist who deseve better response than this video but well people just went their to see why is it being called so bad.







A dog chasing a herd of deer in Richmond park and a man chasing the dong has gone viral. Well i dont understand this logic.





So why do we share these things?

• Its hilarious:Everybody needs a break man.
• Its incredible or unbelievable: Shit i don't believe this. 
• Its deeply emotional: Heart stuff. It connects people better than Facebook
• It agrees with our perspective: Yes this is what i was thinking. My point of view.
• It makes you think for a moment: Hmmm..
• Its a leaked video: Yes i got to see this one.
• Its silly and cute: Happiness.
• People love drama: Its dramatic.
• Its embarrassing: Yes people go for that too.
• Its provocative: Spice
